Detailed Instructions on Playing a Ladder Game

1. Download the Software - The first thing you need to do is download the game. When you go online, it will automatically offer to update your game to the latest version. To maximize compatibility and minimize problems, we require all players to be using the most current non-Beta version. Anyone can play using the 100% Free, Classic, or Pro versions of our card games and there are no fees for playing in our tournaments.
2. Create a login - Every ladder is different, but we provide links here as a curtousy for Case's Ladder: Signup for Hearts Login, Signup for Spades Login, Signup for Euchre Login
3. Challenge someone - Go to the main ladder page, identify someone higher up on the ladder than you and challenge them to a game. Coordinate via email on a time to play and play your match. There is no official times and ladder games can be played at anytime. For more information on this, see the ladder FAQ.
4. Start the game - Startup the game using the 'Play Online' icon on your desktop and enter our RecRoom lobby (the default). You must be in the lobby within 5 minutes of the starting time listed in the schedule. If you are playing a partnership variation (as Spades and Euchre usually are), find a partner to play with by chatting in the lobby. If you are going to be hosting, select 'Ladder' as your game type so others can see your game with the 'L' marker in the lobby.
5. Report the loss - After the game is finished, one of the players from the losing team will need to report the loss to the ladder. The ladder order may take a few hours to update to show the effect of that loss. Players that refuse to the report the loss are generally warned and possibly banned from the ladder, so please follow their rules.
